🎃 Annual Trunk or Treat at the NYS Veterans Home – Oxford! 👻

It was another fun-filled afternoon at the NYS Veterans Home in Oxford as staff, residents, families, and community members came together for our Annual Trunk or Treat!

Creative trunks, colorful costumes, and plenty of sweet treats made for a festive day of laughter and smiles. Residents even joined in the fun with their own “trunk,” adding to the Halloween spirit!

A big thank-you to everyone who decorated, donated, and participated — your enthusiasm made the event a great success and brought so much joy to our Veterans and their families. 💜🍬🎃

🎃 Annual Pumpkin Painting Fun! 🎨

The 6th District American Legion Auxiliary brought smiles and creativity to the NYS Veterans Home in Oxford during their annual Pumpkin Painting Event!

Residents had a wonderful time decorating pumpkins, sharing stories, and enjoying the fall spirit together. 🍁🎃

A heartfelt thank-you to the 6th District American Legion Auxiliary for their continued support, generosity, and dedication to bringing joy to our Veterans year after year. 💙🇺🇸

We had some wonderful visitors earlier this month!

Dan Corbett, Joe Angelino, and fellow motorcyclists from Oneida, Utica, and Herkimer County stopped by to drop off puzzle books, jigsaw puzzles, cider, and donuts — along with a beautiful handmade flag, signed by the motorcyclists and Joe Angelino.

It was a beautiful day, and we’re so grateful for their generosity and thoughtfulness! 🇺🇸🧩🍎☕

🎃 We Need Trunkers for Our Treaters! 🎃

The NYS Veterans Home at Oxford is excited to host our 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 25th, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM in our parking lot!

Staff and community members are invited to join the fun — decorate your car, hand out candy, and enjoy a festive afternoon filled with costumes, treats, and Halloween spirit.

Bring your little ones to “trunk or treat,” or come to be a “trunker” and help make this year’s event our best one yet!

👻 Bonus: Our residents will once again have their own trunk this year!
