Residents have been hard at work planting, nurturing, and growing beautiful seedlings—and now it’s time to share their efforts with the community!

On Friday, May 1st join us for plant sale, where every purchase helps support our Red, White & Bloom gardening program. This initiative provides meaningful, hands-on opportunities for residents to stay active, connect with nature, and take pride in something they’ve grown from the ground up.

Come pick out some greenery, support a great cause, and celebrate the dedication of our resident gardeners

Sale will happen from 10am-2pm, under the front awning. See you there!!

Today and everyday, we remember our beloved facility cat, Scooter.

Scooter was more than just a pet —he was a beloved member of our home. With a gentle presence he brought warmth, comfort, and smiles to residents, families, and staff alike.

In quiet moments, scooter was simply a reminder to everyone that love doesn’t need words.

Though small in size, Scooter’s impact was immeasurable. The halls feel a little emptier without that familiar paw step, but the comfort and joy he gave will linger in our hearts always.

Rest well, dear friend. You made this place feel even more like home!

The Volunteer Guild of the New York State Veterans Home is conducting a raffle!!

$2.00 a ticket for a chance to win Oxford Vets Home Merchandise and a $75.00 gift card to our Commissary where things like jackets, sweatshirts, polos, t-shirts, etc. can be purchased.

We are seeking your support to help our Red, White, and Bloom Program thrive!

We’re excited to announce that we have kick started our Red White and Bloom program which is a therapeutic gardening program that plays a role in our Sensory Nourishment Program. The goal is to support residents needs and wants with a hands-on activity that promotes relaxation, social connection, sensory engagement, and a sense of accomplishment.

Gardening has proven benefits for mental health and overall well-being. Our residents have shared this passion of gardening and yard work throughout their lifetime and are eager to continue doing so in the Home. We have started our indoor greenhouses on each neighborhood with vegetables and flowers as we prepare to spend plenty of time in our courtyard and utilize our beautiful new greenhouse in the upcoming spring and summer!

To keep the program growing, we’ve created an Amazon Wish List with garden essentials to support the ongoing therapeutic garden program Every item purchased goes directly to supporting our residents’ gardening experience and participation.
