When you gossip it really hurts you. And when you don’t talk out your problems with a fellow believer you’re letting the enemy rule your ministry. It saddens me to know we have so many great leaders that can’t control their tongue. James says “If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless.”
James 1:26 NASB1995
Do you love to eat?? If the food is good and pleasant do you swallow it? What if the milk was curdled or the meat was moldy? Would you spit it out or continue to devour? Job says “For the ear tests words As the palate tastes food.”
Job 34:3 NASB1995
The same ears you use to take in worship you are using to take in gossip you are eating moldy meat. You are now being “filled” with the enemy (anger, bitterness, “just gotta vent and let it out” , unforgiveness, dissension, etc.) don’t leave the 🦻🏻 gates open for the enemy to use your ministry as a cat walk.
“Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.”
James 3:2
