Today our residents participated in a virtual tour of Newport, Rhode Island, a destination recently visited by our Activities Director, Karen VanWinkle. The tour showcased the 'summer homes' of prominent families such as the Astors, Vanderbilts, and Berwinds, who resided in the mansions during the Gilded Age, providing a unique glimpse into the past. Residents received various souvenirs during the presentation and enjoyed learning about the state's rich history.

Hotty Toddy!!!! It's football weekend in Oxford, and OHR is ready to have barbecue when we defeat the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday! Today we had our first 2025 tailgate and the residents had a blast! A special thanks to our Therapy Dept for the Dirty Soda Bar, Arden Hospice and Legacy Hospice for the pizza, and our Dining Department for the fresh baked cookies! The highlight of the afternoon was when resident Charles, a former college cheerleader, helped Chris lead the group in the Ole Miss Hotty Toddy chant! We finished the afternoon with fresh watermelon, and everyone is looking forward to cheering for our Rebels tomorrow!!!
