👉🏻 A common sleep disorder where breathing repeatedly stops & starts during sleep. Caused by airway blockages or brain signaling failures, it prevents deep, restful sleep & lowers oxygen levels. 🍒MRI for your BREASTS?? ⚠️ This is VERY IMPORTANT to know!

👉🏻 The more dense breast tissue you have, the more difficult it is for a mammogram to find cancer. AND the higher your RISK becomes of developing breast cancer.

🗣️ If your mammogram defines your breast tissue as being "heterogeneous fibroglandular/dense" PLEASE ASK your provider about switching to MRI screenings. In some cases, insurance will cover these but if not, there are out of pocket options if you still want one!

🚶🏻‍♂️‍➡️National Walking Day was yesterday! You know at Hoke DPC we're ALL about taking care of yourself. Enjoy this video we took of the Black Covered Bridge trail in Oxford, OH. There are many ways to add steps to your day & several trails in our area with beautiful scenery - even some quick enough to do on your lunch break!

Walking daily acts as a powerful, low-impact way to boost cardiovascular health, strengthen muscles & bones, aid in weight management & improve mental well-being. It helps reduce the risk of chronic diseases like diabetes & heart disease, lowers blood pressure & boosts immunity.

It's OK to start slowly — especially if you haven't been exercising regularly. You might just start with 5 minutes a day in the first week, then increase your time to 10 minutes each week until you reach at least 30 minutes.
