Mini Milestones is now accepting VPK applications for the 26-27 school year! Our VPK program was recently awarded a certificate of excellence by the Early Learning Coalition and the Florida Department of Education. Our VPK teacher, Ms. Teresa (Mimi) has been teaching our VPK class for 5 years and we are proud to announce that our students score extremely well on the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST). Mimi's goal as a teacher is to ensure that each student is prepared for kindergarten success by offering a fun, engaging and developmentally appropriate experience. Our students learn through hands-on experiences, such as playing with blocks, manipulating toys, and engaging in sensory activities such as sand and water tables. We also focus on active learning through play, music, and art. Our classroom provides a positive atmosphere and individual attention while encouraging exploration. Each day, our students develop new social skills by learning to share, take turns, and make new friends which promotes teamwork and emotional growth. We have fun, open-ended play experiences that stimulate the imagination and creativity our students. Our curriculum provides a fun and educational experience each and every day.
