One year ago, our community faced historic flooding that tested not only our infrastructure, but also the resilience of our first responders and neighbors. That day reminded us how quickly emergencies can evolve — and how vital it is to be prepared for the unexpected.

At Oxford EMS, we remember those who were lost.

Over the past year, we’ve continued to grow and expand our capabilities — from specialized training and equipment to developing our Special Operations programs — ensuring we can respond safely and effectively to any emergency, in any weather.

Our commitment remains the same: to stand ready for our community when we’re needed most. Together, we’ll keep moving forward — stronger, and more prepared than ever.

We stand with the Plainville Fire Company, as they mourn the loss of a firefighter who made the ultimate sacrifice at a structure fire this morning.

Our hearts go out to the fallen firefighter’s family, loved ones, friends, and the entire department during this difficult time.

Our friends over at Quaker Farms Fire Company hosted another great carnival, and Oxford EMS was proud to be there providing medical coverage throughout the event. While our volunteer EMTs were primarily on-site to care for carnival-goers in case of emergency, they also enjoyed the chance to spend time together and connect with the community we serve. Thank you to everyone who made the event a success!

🚨 Joint Water Rescue Training with Oxford FD 🚒🌊

Last night, Oxford EMS partnered with our colleagues at Oxford Fire for a joint Water Rescue Training at Jackson Cove.

Working together in realistic scenarios helps ensure we’re ready when seconds count — whether it’s a swimmer in distress, a capsized boat, or flood-related emergencies. Training like this builds teamwork, sharpens skills, and strengthens the coordination between EMS and Fire on every call.

Oxford EMS provided customized EMS training & medical kits for the 3 FD Marine Units to ensure immediate life saving care is possible in every scenario.

Huge thanks to Oxford Fire for their collaboration and continued commitment to keeping our community safe! 👏🔥💪
