Yesterday, we had the pleasure of celebrating the incredible volunteers who give their time, energy, and hearts to support McCullough-Hyde. đź’™

The McCullough-Hyde Volunteer Luncheon was a wonderful opportunity to pause, reflect, and say **thank you** to the individuals who make a meaningful difference every single day for our patients, visitors, and team members. Their compassion, dedication, and commitment truly help create a welcoming and caring environment throughout our hospital.

We are so grateful for all that our volunteers do. Your service does not go unnoticed, and we are honored to celebrate you—not just yesterday, but every day. 🌟

Grateful Patient Connection: Heath Kelly

Heath Kelly came to the Emergency Department at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital in November with chest pain and dizziness. The McCullough-Hyde Emergency Department team responded quickly. To stabilize Heath’s ventricular tachycardia, the team shocked his heart three times.

Heath was air-flighted to Bethesda North Hospital where he was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, a genetic heart condition where the heart muscle becomes abnormally thick. A defibrillator was consequently inserted.

“I want to thank the doctors, nurses and staff for saving my life. You never expect to be lying there on that table, but I sure was glad they were there when I needed them most. Their compassion and concern for me being a community member, went beyond just being a patient. We are lucky and blessed to have McCullough-Hyde in our backyard”.

Saying thank you is a meaningful way to make a great impact. The McCullough-Hyde Foundation’s Grateful Patient Connections program gives patients and families the opportunity to recognize a caregiver or team member who made a difference in your care or the care of a family member with a donation in their honor and/or a special note of thanks. Donations made through Grateful Patient Connections support the mission of the McCullough-Hyde Foundation through the purchase of specialized equipment for McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital.

For more information about Grateful Patient Connections, please contact Janet Shirley, Development & Special Projects Coordinator, at Janet_Shirley@TriHealth.com or (513) 664-3851. Donations may be made at www.TriHealth.com/MHMHFoundation.
