The daisy cannot bloom without the support of the bee and at St. John's, our nurses do their best work with the support and teamwork of their non-nursing colleagues. That is why we adopted the BEE (Being Excellent Everyday) Award, which recognizes our support staff who go above and beyond to care for patients, visitors and colleagues alike.
This quarter, we congratulate Kyle Pangilinan, CNA, and Noe Ardaz, CNA, on receiving the BEE (Being Excellent Everyday) Award!
Kyle's nomination came from a grateful patient for demonstrating exceptional care, kindness and attentiveness during the patient's stay at the hospital. According to the patient, "I can't rave enough about Kyle. She gave me bed baths, always responded quickly to all of my requests, made me feel important and was very polite. I was a stewardess for 30 years and know about customer service. Kyle regularly checked on me and I cried when her shift ended. She'll make a fantastic nurse!"
Noe's nomination came from a patient's family member for his remarkable dedication, clinical expertise and compassionate care. According to the family member, "I want to commend Noe for his hard work in making sure my wife was comfortable and for providing any assistance needed for her care. He is the future of what a CNA should be and he will continue to grow and excel with all that he does. He shows amazing compassion and kindness and consistently demonstrates professionalism, critical thinking and a deep commitment to patient well-being."
Thank you to both Kyle and Noe for being the embodiment of and for being there for our patients when they need it most!
