A Little History

I am a recovering person myself and have the experience both in active addiction and long-term recovery to be able to respond to my client’s needs with both compassion and direction.

I have worked in treatment programs since 1985, beginning my private counseling practice in 2009. I was the founder and Program Director of Genesis Programs, Inc. for 25 years, until leaving that position in 2018 to focus solely on my private counseling practice.

I work with both substance abusers and their families, helping all to pursue a path of recovery and healing. A large part of my practice is doing assessments - for the Department of Transportation (DOT), for Family Law Court, and for out-of-state legal issues. I have also recently received a certification in Pastoral Counseling.
