๐Ÿš‘ We had a GREAT time at the Career Expo with the sweet students from Lisenby Primary School! This awesome event was held at the CHS Career Center.

Watching these little ones get excited about ambulances, emergency care, and big future dreams was such a highlight. Huge thank you to the teachers, staff, and community members who invest so much love and effort into shaping these young lives.

Weโ€™re grateful we got to be part of such a fun and meaningful day! โค๏ธ

Today marks day one of Advanced EMT school for three of our ownโ€”and not just coworkers, but siblings! Thatโ€™s something you donโ€™t see every day.

Lane, Sylvanna, and Kyle Williams each bring a great attitude, strong work ethic, and a real passion for EMS to everything they do. Their decision to continue their education and push themselves further in this field says a lot about who they are.

Weโ€™re proud to have them as part of the Ozark EMS family and wish them the best of luck as they take on Advanced EMT school. We know theyโ€™re going to do great! ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ‘

๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿš‘ Ozark EMS Christmas Party ๐Ÿš‘๐ŸŽ„

Last night, Ozark EMS gathered to celebrate the season and reflect on an incredible year at our Christmas party held at The Fox Den in downtown Ozark. The venue was absolutely beautiful and provided the perfect setting for a memorable evening with our EMS family.

We were honored to have Mayor Ward in attendance and truly appreciate his continued support of Ozark EMS and our mission. A huge thank you goes to Megan DiFilippo for catering the event and to Heath Clark for cooking the meatโ€”everything was fantastic and helped make the night a success. Thank you to everyone that contributed to our event.

The evening also gave us the opportunity to recognize excellence within our department. Congratulations to Trinity Childs, our BLS Provider of the Year, and Sydney Wortham, our ALS Provider of the Year. We were also proud to once again recognize Tyler Kramer as our Employee of the Year, an honor that reflects his dedication and commitment to our team and community.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Chief Jason Maertens for his leadership, guidance, and unwavering support throughout the year. His dedication continues to move our department forward.

We are incredibly thankful for the year weโ€™ve had, the challenges weโ€™ve overcome, and the team that makes it all possible. We look forward to an even stronger and more successful 2026. โค๏ธ๐Ÿš‘

๐Ÿš‘ Careers on Wheels at the Ozark Agricultural Complex! ๐Ÿš‘

Paramedic Kristy Clark and EMT Cherish Martin represented Ozark EMS today at the Careers on Wheels event.

They talked with students about what itโ€™s like to work in emergency medical services โ€” from responding to 911 calls to providing life-saving care in the field. The kids loved exploring the ambulance and learning how EMS professionals make a difference every single day!

Weโ€™re proud to be part of inspiring the next generation of healthcare heroes.

๐ŸŒž Stay Safe in the Summer Heat! ๐Ÿš‘
As temperatures rise, so does the risk of heat-related illnesses. Ozark EMS is here to remind you: Heat emergencies can happen fast โ€” but theyโ€™re preventable.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Tips to Beat the Heat:
โœ… Stay hydrated โ€” drink plenty of water, even if you donโ€™t feel thirsty.
โœ… Avoid strenuous activities during the hottest part of the day (10 AM - 4 PM).
โœ… Wear lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothes.
โœ… Never leave children or pets in parked vehicles โ€” not even for a minute!
โœ… Check on elderly neighbors and those without air conditioning.

โš ๏ธ Know the signs of heat exhaustion:

Heavy sweating

Weakness or dizziness

Nausea or vomiting

Headache

If symptoms progress to confusion, fainting, or hot, dry skin โ€” call 9-1-1 immediately.

Stay cool, stay safe โ€” and enjoy your summer responsibly! ๐ŸŒŠ
