This Labor Day, let's pause to reflect on the beautiful gift of work that God has given us.

Whether you're clocking in at the office, caring for family, creating with your hands, or serving in your community – your labor matters. It's more than a paycheck; it's a way to reflect God's creative nature and serve His people.

As we rest today, we follow the perfect example set by our Creator, who worked for six days and rested on the seventh. Rest isn't laziness – it's obedience and restoration.

A New Chapter for Liz: From Addiction to Purpose

"My name is Liz, I’m 62 years old. Before I came to Adult & Teen Challenge, I was addicted to drugs and alcohol for over 20 years. I lost jobs, kids, relationships, and ended up in the system as a violent felon after a domestic violence altercation. I spent time in jail, and when I applied for programs and housing, I was denied because of my charges."

But Adult & Teen Challenge said yes: "That’s been almost a year ago. Since that time, I have rededicated my life to the Lord and learned skills I had been lacking in my addiction. Adult & Teen Challenge provided me with the structure and teachings I needed to deal with relationships, life situations, and more—sober and clear-minded."

Now, Liz is thriving: "Adult & Teen Challenge was a turning point for me and my family. Upon graduation, I have the opportunity to intern with this ministry and continue growing."
