Love this explanation of healing ourselves and then understanding “you’ve outgrown that person, or don’t need that person to fill in that missing piece.”
We hold onto things people, situations, our past as if we are griping it with our clenched hand for dear life and in all honesty, I would like to encourage you to hold loosely.
I had a therapist tell me once to always keep and open hand. Every relationship, every situation, every job, every person, should be “held” with an open hand. The tighter we squeeze the more “that thing” struggles to break free.
It’s all about releasing control and allowing God to “give and take away” as Job says in the Bible.
How are you holding things, people, situations….
can you open your hand?
Can you let it be free?
Can you allow things to end if it needs to?
I’m not saying it’s just as easy as releasing your grip…and done.
No it’s not easy. And dealing with those reasons you want to hold so tightly onto things/people that don’t align with you or serve you or even just vibe with you anymore is the answer. The key to “letting go.” Y’all I’m preaching to the choir here so this is the message I’m getting for myself as well.
Let me say this, in a season where it feels like you are being striped of everything you thought you wanted or needed, and as painful as it is, open up.
Open you hand and let it go.
Open your heart and let Him heal you.
Open your mind to the possibilities of what can be next.
And open you eyes to see the truth.
Because as we know, THE truth will set you free.
Love ya,
Jami Kay
