Dr. Kinder provides community outreach, advocacy, and education on pelvic health issues such as: discomfort in pregnancy/postpartum, C-section recovery, incontinence, diastasis recti, prolapse, pelvic pain, constipation, hernia, the female athlete, and orthopedic conditions such as low back, SI, hip, shoulder, and knee pain.

On this birthday I’m not over “The Hill”, ⛰️ I’m at it! 🇺🇸 Marching 4th for women’s health research and physical therapy education funding ❤️ I’m grateful to the UCSF Science and Healthcare Advocates for Research Policy (SHARP) program for providing the opportunity to speak with congress and the senate about these pressing matters.

📣 So proud of this work! 👏 I think I might have an inkling as to how a movie 🎥 director feels once their movie is finally in theaters! 🍿 (or on Netflix 🙂 6 years people, 6️⃣years it took to get this study completed. 🏃‍♀️ It saw its way through Covid, in the end it was sometimes the only effective care women could get during Covid! 💯 Such a powerful finding- especially when telehealth is often questioned for funding 💵 We found that not only did women who are postpartum improve in their incontinence at 5 weeks post treatment- yet also at 1 year post treatment too!! 😮 This is huge my friends. We FINALLY have an “apples 🍎 to apples 🍎” comparison of in-person PHPT to telehealth PHPT! 👏 This is all in thanks 🙏 to UCSF, NDNU, and the amazing co-authors who supported this study: Todd Davenport, Wendy Katzman, Alan Chong Lee, Victor Cheuy and I want to especially thank the amazing 4 PHPTs 🤩who pretty much donated their time ⏰ to see this study through. Tianna Meriage-Reiter, Alicia Roberts, Julie Bottarini, and Tanya Goodrich. Each committed to seeing this study realized even throughout Covid. They took time out of their busy private practice to help Pelvic Health Physical Therapy move forward ⏩and bring this essential care to all who need it 🙌 A huge thank you to Tony Zhang at Somatic Health for donating the platform for us to use! This is a BIG step in PHPT. Looking Forward to next steps!!!🤘
