Our president, Mike Stone, participated in a Paducah Chamber of Commerce small business panel, today. Mike’s question was, “How does a business like Stone-Lang manage to survive for 150 years?” Mike outlined 5 key elements that a business should focus on for longevity. Our Stone-Lang staff volunteers and participates in our community in so many ways. We love giving back to the region we call home!

What an amazing day as our company celebrated 150 years of continuous operation. We honored four generations of leadership and staff members who got us through floods, wars, depressions and COVID. Several hundred people attended, including government officials, the Paducah Chamber of Commerce and WPSD-TV and Paducah Sun news media. We are so grateful for all who came and participated.

Stone-Lang Company was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award for Exemplary Healthcare Service at the Mid-America Conference on Hearing. Our president, Mike Stone, was shocked and moved to tears. He was at a loss for words…which is unusual for him!

Hearing aids have become amazing portable computers that process the sounds around us. Critical speech sounds are amplified and unwanted background noise is reduced. When prescription fitted by a professional…the results can be astounding! Our staff will be in a classroom all day learning about the latest advancements in hearing aid technology.

Tomorrow will be seven straight hours of classroom education…but tonight we eat! I’m not sure why my colleagues let me tag along…but I’m glad they did. Great meal at Malones Steak House in Lexington.

Katie is back! Katie Graves Curcio and her husband moved away for a while, but they have returned to the region. You may see her in the Paducah and Murray offices by appointment. Katie received her Masters Degree at Murray State University and is Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Science. We are thrilled to have Katie back at Stone-Lang.
