Psychotherapy plays a vital role in the recovery journey for those impacted by substance use disorders (SUD).

Therapists help individuals heal from trauma, develop healthier coping mechanisms and rebuild their lives with compassion and evidence-based support. These mental health professionals are essential to addressing the emotional and psychological roots of addiction.

Today, on National Psychotherapy Day, we honor the therapists making a lasting difference and encourage anyone struggling to explore the life-changing impact of therapy.

Crossroads teammates were proud to participate in the Mental Health Matters Walk/Run for Awareness, a family-friendly 5k hosted by All Souls Counseling Center. The event raised awareness of the many mental health resources available in WNC and worked to end the stigma around seeking help. Along with the walk and run, participants connected with local wellness and mental health organizations at the community resource fair, helping normalize conversations about mental health and support.
