The Strenge Spine Center was just named a Barricaid Platinum Center of Excellence!

This distinction was awarded based upon the extensive experience Dr. K. Brandon Strenge has implanting the Barricaid bone anchored annular closure device. Barricaid has been proven to substantially decrease the risk of recurrent disc herniation and re-operation after a microdiscectomy procedure. Both Dr. Strenge (left) and Ben Kirchner PAC (right) are part of the teaching panel for Intrinsic Therapeutics, the maker of Barricaid.

Dr. Strenge recently was invited to the new Dallas headquarters for Spineart helping to evaluate updated instrumentation and sizing for the Baguera C ADR (Artificial Disc Replacement). He has already implanted several of the devices as part of the one and two level US IDE trial. Dr. Strenge was accompanied by Dr. Pierce Nunley from Shreveport and Dr. Robert Tatsumi from Portland.

The Baguera will hopefully be FDA approved for use in the US soon. It has been approved for use in Europe for several years.
