We are happy to be a partner for the Save a Life Day event happening this Thursday along with McCracken County ASAP, Purchase District Health Department, Turning Point Recovery Community Center, and the McCracken County Public Library for free Narcan/Naloxone kit distribution! Providing equitable access to naloxone is a key piece in overdose fatality rates continuing to drop locally and nationwide. "Save a Life Day is about connection. It's about building trust, having real conversations, and showing up for each other. If one life is saved, all the effort is worth it."
All 50 states will host free naloxone events for Save a Life Day for the first time. McCracken County's event will take place at the McCracken County Public Library from 1:00-3:00. To learn more about the Save a Life initiative, visit https://soarwv.org/save/

September 11th, A Day of Remembrance, Reflection, and Resilience

Today, we honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the countless heroes who stepped forward in the face of tragedy. We remember the first responders, families, and communities forever changed and the strength that united a nation during its darkest hours.

For us at MGC ASAP Youth Council, this day is also a reminder of the importance of community, leadership, and purpose.

In a world that can feel unpredictable, we believe in being a steady, positive force, showing up for others, making healthy choices, and building a future rooted in compassion, service, and resilience.

As young leaders, we choose to honor the legacy of 9/11 not only by remembering the past but by working for a better tomorrow. One where our generation chooses peace over violence, connection over division, and hope over fear.

Today, and every day, we stand united. We honor and remember.
