We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Our team (minus a couple with other committments) met for our annual Christmas dinner tonight at White Plains Restaurant and we were all very impressed with the facilities and quality of food/service! Many many thanks to these ladies and how they come to work every day and make going to the dentist a fun experience. And all of the hard work they put in day in and day out. They’re simply the best there is!

If you haven't had your 2 covered annual preventative vists or if you need any other type of treatment, most insurance plans reset and you lose 2025 benefits on December 31st. We have a very limited amount of spots and hate to see anyone throw the money you pay for in monthly insurance premiums, away.

Also, wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!!! We are super thankful to all of our patient family for choosing us when there are so many other choices. We truly enjoy every single relationship and are honored to provide you with exceptional dental care.

Always use an extra soft toothbrush and floss! Contrary to what some believe, a “firm” or “medium” bristled toothbrush can damage your gingival (gums) tissue and cause recession and sensitivity. Pictured is Ellie, Dr. Jackson’s oldest daughter (7 years young). Flossing is just as important as brushing! Watch and supervise your children with these tasks. Ellie can give anyone that needs it...a long and thorough explanation as to why doing these two things daily can lead to a healthier you! 😂 🦷 🪥 👨‍⚕️ 😷

Another day, another successful implant!!! Patient came in 6 months ago with a tooth that had a vertical root fracture, which was non-salvageable. Extracted tooth traumatically, placed 1.0cc of allograft bone graft into the socket to preserve bone. 6 moths later (today) an implant was beautifully placed into the new bone. Patient will wait 4-5 months for implant to integrate with the bone, then have a brand new tooth long term!

To those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our beautiful nation, we salute you and will forever be grateful for all the sacrifices you’ve made. We can’t even begin to comprehend the things our most brave people in our nation have gone through. And to their families who’ve also sacrificed being with their loved ones, we can never repay the debts we owe you. May God Bless our beautiful land that so many have fought so hard to protect. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

Patient came in 6 months ago with a bad infection from a broken tooth. Scrubbed site out and removed all infection, bone grafted the site and let heal for 6 months. Today we placed her implant into the site. Bony wall is re-established (buccal) wall, implant torqued to manufacturer guidelines. Beautiful case! If you’re looking for a great replacement for missing teeth please let us help you. 🦷 🪥 😃

Patient presented with a tooth in no pain but seemed to be “moving” when he bites. We suspect that the tooth has gone necrotic and the nerve of the tooth has died. Today, we are planning to remove the tooth (source of the infection) and scrub the socket where the tooth used to be, to ensure the infection is gone. Irrigate the socket thoroughly with an antibiotic and place a bone graft and collagen membrane/sutures to hold the site while it heals and gets ready for an implant to be placed in 6 months. We will post pics later of the completed bone graft/socket preservation.

A patient presented this morning as a 62yo male with complications of a front tooth that feels different. Tooth had Endodontic treatment years ago and a post placed into the root canal space to hold the buildup and crown. The root has fractured and the patient has a very large infection. Discussed treatment options and patient chose bone grafting and implant placement into the site once the bone grafting has healed. The weird thing about this case…the patient hasn’t had any pain with this tooth or site…didn’t even know it was there. Stay tuned as we treat the patient and post update photos.

What’s the lesson? Always get checked with X-rays because you never know what’s lurking. Also, to come in frequently so we can check you. An unchecked infection can lead to sepsis and cause potentially life-threatening complications (Ludwig’s angina, sepsis, etc.)

A recent study suggests certain bacteria in our mouths have a close relationship to potentially developing pancreatic cancer. It is imperative to our overall health (also including cardiovascular health) to ensure that our dental well-being is intact.

Oral microbiota were closely related to PC, whereas P. gingivalis was more commonly found in the PC patients than in the healthy controls. For patients with PC, P. gingivalis may play a role in early diagnosis.

Dr. Jackson’s oldest daughter Ellie asks Mrs. Greta every year to make her a birthday cake. “Mrs. Greta makes the best cakes ever!” Ellie’s request this year was “Under the Sea” with a little Chihuahua that she recently lost due to old age. Mrs. Greta is the best and is clearly talented in dentistry as well as a phenomenal baker. We love her as I’m sure all of you do as well. Hope everyone has a great week. 🦷 😀
