Come check out Sybil's workshop April 12th at 4pm, Architecture of the Headstand.
In this specialty workshop, we will explore a well-rounded sequence of postures to fully prepare the body for getting into the arm balance/inversion. Our study includes learning the mechanics of headstand in different, more accessible orientations, so that by the time we get to the maha (peak) pose, you have a better understanding of how it all comes together.

The Architecture of the Headstand

Sirsasana, or headstand, is one of the hallmarks of traditional yoga practice, requiring balance, strength, flexibility and mental fortitude. In this specialty workshop, we will explore a well-rounded sequence of postures to fully prepare the body for getting into the arm balance/inversion. Our study includes learning the mechanics of headstand in different, more accessible orientations, so that by the time we get to the maha (peak) pose, you have a better understanding of how it all comes together. You will also learn what to practice on your own if you aren’t ready for headstand, and different ways to enter and exit the posture. Finally, whether you can get into headstand or not doesn’t matter. It is all the work (and fun!) that goes into the journey along the way where the benefit is to be found.

Join us at the studio for yoga with Sybil and a sound bath with Liz! This is a free community event to help officially welcome Sybil to the Kula Shala community! If ypu haven't tried her class yet this is the time! Come soak in the moon with yoga and a sound bath by Liz! She uses sound baths after her acupuncture treatments to help seal in the medicine and calm the nervous system💜
This is a great event to meet some of the woman Healers here in the Pagosa Community!!
Please book online even though it is a free event to hold your spot!! Looking forward to moving with all of you beautiful ladies!

Come check out the new hot class with ! With her new Somatic Practioner training she will be leading you through movement that helps release trauma from the fascia. The class is heated with infrared red light that helps heal and rebuild at the cellular level. This movement is MEDICINE for the soul! So tap into the heart and come HOME to your body!

Sybil will be adding two new classes to the Kula Shala Schedule! Yoga Attunement on Monday at 9am and Movement and Meditation Wednesday at 5:30pm. Sybil is a 500h yoga teacher who just moved back to Pagosa from the east coast. We are grateful to have her and excited for her to be apart of the community! Her class descriptions are posted on the website!
