Plantain…what do you know about it?

It’s good for drawing out…so you can chew the leaves and put them on bug bites/stings

Is cooling and soothing so it’s good for lotions and skin remedies.

It’s where we get psyllium!

These are almost done for the summer, so I saw the psyllium and thought I’d do a quick post.

I’m so pleased in how these turned out for embroidery!!!

So.. I figured out that the thread guide by the needle was fraying the embroidery thread. When I took it out of that guide, it didn’t 99% better and I got this one done with 2 breaks and no major issues.

Yay!!

Still can’t figure out how to tell it to go back on the stitching pattern if it missed with a break. I’ve looked everywhere and can’t seem to find it. If anyone has a brother Quattro 6000, please enlighten me!!!

Did you know it takes 6lbs of honey for bees to make 1 lb of wax?

I did some research to find out why I got this crystallized wax on the bottom of my wax cakes. It wasn’t debris that needed to be restrained.

It appears you get this when you heat the wax temperature too high. It breaks down the wax and the water doesn’t seietate from it well, leaving this crystallized wax with moisture still on it. Next year I’ll try only going to 107 deg F. This should prevent this from happening again. Don’t want to lose any of that good wax!

Wish I was a kindle ambled reader and could buy it that way, but I’m not good at reading digitally and really love my books to study, make notes and highlight..

This is one book I really want for my SCA Bee research. If anyone has it and wants to sell it for less than what it’s going for, let me know. 😂
