At Aspire, we see moments every week that remind us why this work matters - and why the Supermom 5K exists in the first place.
One Tuesday in December, for example, our building was overflowing with life. Bible study moms gathered for their Christmas party, kids enjoyed a Christmas program, and at the same time, we were seeing walk-in pregnancy tests and prenatal lab appointments. Every corner was full - moms chatting and crafting, little ones laughing and singing, volunteers holding babies, and joy in the air.
In the middle of it all, a mom who came in for a walk-in pregnancy tests told our clinic manager how much it warmed her heart to walk into such a joyful environment. Many of the moms stayed for hours, simply not wanting to leave the fellowship.
That day was a picture of what Aspire is all about: a safe place where love and joy overflow, a place where you can catch your breath, be strengthened to do the hard things, or simply escape them for a little while - a place you may not want to leave. And as this photo shows, we get to walk alongside some truly superhero moms - women who show up, love fiercely, grow bravely, and keep choosing hope. Celebrating them is at the heart of this event.
