Those little root beer plants, Ploygala Paniculata, contain methyl salicylicate which has minor stimulant and analgesic properties when ingested in safe amounts. The bill for the Puna Makai Alternative Route just died at County council level. It took 40 years just yo get this bill heard, and it just died because more people from Hilo anc Panaewa came to testify against it. We have no Alternative routes put of Puna... I'd the Lava comes and cuts use off, there is no way out.. let that sink in. The people of Puna, Hawaiian families included will be cut off from the rest of the island if the lava decides to flow that direction... families could die because of other people's selfishness. The bill already removed Hawaiian Homelands from the study. That land was NOT going to be included because they did not want to be included, but that doesn't mean that the bill had to die. Now how many more people will suffer because of this? How bad will traffic have to get on HWY 130 before people realize that this was the ONLY chance we had to get a study done for this. And this was just for the study!!! SMH.
