MAHA YOGA and Wellness Center

Maha Yoga is the fulfillment of a long time dream to create a space that offers locals and visitors high quality yoga in a beautiful space. Situated right in the heart of bustling and eclectic Paia Town, Maha Yoga is a bit of a hidden gem! Located in the back of the parking lot behind Charley’s Restaurant, offset from the Main Road, the studio offers students a tranquil practice environment with lots of natural light and beautiful views across the North Shore from its second story vantage point. The space is fully equipped with bolsters, blankets, blocks, straps, eye pillows, sandbags and chairs. Only accommodating 25 students it supports a more intimate practice environment where students receive lots of support and guidance.

Group Classes currently on offer include alignment based Gentle and Advanced Vinyasa Flow classes, Hatha Yoga for Beginners, Deep Stretch Classes, Viniyoga, Kauit Yoga and Qi Gong.

Private classes are also available as well as part time and intensive Yoga Teacher Trainings under the guidance of Karin Kuhn. Workshops and presentations are scheduled at various times throughout the month allowing students to deepen their understanding and application of all aspects of the practice.

In July of 2019 MAHA WELLNESS CENTER was opened right next door to MAHA YOGA, not as a separate business but as a natural extension of the original vision.

Maha Yoga & Wellness Center is a hidden gem right in the heart of Paia. You will find us on the 2nd floor of the double story green building in the back of the parking lot behind Charley’s Restaurant. From our second story vantage point you will enjoy gorgeous views across the North Shore! Our 2 treatments rooms are spacious, quiet, and beautifully decorated with pieces by local artists.

Our team of well trained and experienced therapists and consultants are passionately committed to helping students and clients find their “go to wellness rituals” for daily living that will build health, strength and beauty from within.

We offer the combined sciences of yoga, Ayurveda, Physical Therapy, therapeutic bodywork, Shiatsu, Nutritional and Lifestyle Consultations and Intuitive Healing services along with regular presentations and workshops to help clients meet their health, healing and wellness goals.

Being so central students and clients can easily enjoy the pre/post class shopping and eating activities that make this historic north shore plantation town so popular with island visitors. Situated right next to Mana Foods and Choice, students can stroll over to enjoy the healthy fresh food and juice offerings that complement and support all the good work done on the mat. There are also many other restaurants and coffee shops that allow you to chill out with friends after class and soak up the relaxed North Shore vibe.

There are numerous parking options around. There is free parking right outside the studio until 8.30am. Thereafter Parking vouchers are on sale - $2 for 2hrs (students must produce their parking voucher at the front desk to qualify). Additional free parking is available on the street, Mana Foods or a short 2 minute walk from the studio next to the Shell Garage or at the Community Centre next to the Church.
