This breath pattern immediately calms your body by activating your parasympathetic nervous system AKA Rest and Digest.
An easy way to start :
inhale through your nose for 1 second
exhale through your mouth for 2 seconds - like your blowing out a candle.
As you being to relax, see if you can work yourself up to inhaling for 4 seconds and exhaling for 8 seconds.
