This breath pattern immediately calms your body by activating your parasympathetic nervous system AKA Rest and Digest.

An easy way to start :
inhale through your nose for 1 second
exhale through your mouth for 2 seconds - like your blowing out a candle.

As you being to relax, see if you can work yourself up to inhaling for 4 seconds and exhaling for 8 seconds.

Try this technique anytime you feel stressed or anxious.

My nervous system hack is that I audit my week every Sunday.
I write down my schedule, to dos and commitments.
Then I make sure that the day is balanced with things on this list that give me life and restore my energy.

This keeps me from overcommitting and draining my battery which leads me to anxiety, burn out and illness.

Big nervous system hack: audit your week ahead of time.

Write out your schedule, to do’s, all commitments.
Know where your energy is going.

Then purposely stack your week with things that replenish your energy. The list is endless and everyone’s energy givers vary. (So make sure that you take time to learn what yours are, if you don’t know).

This tool helps you to develop a more balanced nervous system especially for the weeks where you over commit.

It’s about providing your system with the space it needs to rest and restore to properly function.
When you’re constantly responding to life from a state of overwhelm - your body is in overdrive trying to keep you safe.
If you can manage the daily stressors with more ease, this allows time for your body to relax and focus on :
digestion, fat burning, detox, hormone regulation, etc.

Again it’s not about being a calm robot or numb- it’s about learning to feel the stress, processing it and letting it go as quickly as it came in.
Stop allowing every inconvenience steal your joy.

Dehydration physically stresses the body and disrupts the signals between the brain and body.
This directly affects your mood and emotions.

This prevention protocol has greatly reduced the intensity and even during some months .. completely eliminated migraines for me.

Let’s stop resisting anxiety and instead use it as a context clue to explore the root of what is causing you to be anxious.

It’s how you respond to it that matters.

Get curious and use your anxiety as a roadmap to understand YOU on a deeper level.

Instead of numbing or suppressing what you’re feeling, I invite you to meet the anxiety with presence and breath.

Allow as much space as you need to feel through the emotions and process them.

Learn how to use your breath to metabolize the heaviness, the worry, the negative mental loop in your head.

Accept that in every moment you are allowed to feel many different emotions at once.

Invite yourself to feel gratitude in the chaos.
Love what is and trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
