At The Sub Zero Mission, we are dedicated to breaking the cycle of homelessness for veterans by addressing the deeper challenges of mental health, addiction, and isolation. Our new Homeless Veteran Re-Empowerment Program (HVRP), launched on Veterans Day, represents years of hard work and a commitment to sustainable solutions that go beyond temporary relief.
The Program in Action
HVRP focuses on direct outreach and personalized support to ensure veterans receive the assistance they need. We employ a Constant Contact Process to provide ongoing support, minimize lost follow-ups, and advocate for bettermentโmaking meaningful, lasting changes to improve lives.
Early Successes
While our goal to enroll participants this season wasnโt fully met, weโve made significant progress:
Verified veteran status through direct outreach efforts.
Strengthened collaboration among team members and partner organizations.
Supported complex cases like connecting veterans with housing programs and holistic treatments.
