The PHGA, founded in 1970 by Jim Takahashi, was established to promote the best interests of golf while fostering fellowship and sportsmanship among its members. Since its beginning with 53 members, the association has grown to 160 golfers, welcoming both men and women of good character who value fair play. Membership offers opportunities to meet new people, strengthen friendships, and compete in a fun, social environment. Members also enjoy holiday tournament invites, two annual social events with food, beverages, and raffle prizes, and the chance to stay active outdoors—because as PHGA reminds us, “the worst day of golf is still better than the best day of work!”
