What a thrilling day it was at the GFS kitchen! Our talented chefs went head-to-head, showcasing their culinary skills and creativity in the ultimate cooking competition! 🍳👨‍🍳

A huge congratulations to the winner of the Top Chef of Florida competition - Solaris Healthcare Waterman!!! Solaris Healthcare Waterman's team brought their A-game and took home the top spot! We're beyond impressed by their dedication, passion, and culinary expertise! 🏆

A massive thank you to everyone who participated, judged, and supported this incredible event! Your hard work and enthusiasm made it an unforgettable experience for all. 🙌

Let's give it up for all the talented chefs who took part in the competition, especially those who battled it out in the kitchen! We are so grateful to have these incredible chefs cooking for our beloved residents! 👏

Therapeutic recreation is a treatment service that uses leisure and recreational activities to promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being. 🧍‍♀️🧍‍♂️

Our therapeutic recreation specialists in our activities departments design programs to:
🚶‍♀️ Improve physical function and mobility
🧠 Enhance cognitive function and memory
🤝 Foster social connections and community engagement
😌 Promote emotional well-being and stress reduction

Therapeutic recreation has a profound impact on our residents' quality of life and we are so grateful for our incredible therapeutic recreation team who works tirelessly to bring joy, purpose, and meaning to our residents' lives! 💕

Our residents love bowling! 🎳

Special thanks to David Chase, one of our Activity Assistants, for building a ball ramp out of PVC. It helped many of our residents enjoy the game, who usually have a difficult time throwing the ball! 🙌

We Had a Blast with Fall Prevention Bingo! 🎉

Last week, we hosted FALL PREVENTION BINGO at Palatka Center for Rehabilitation & Healing, and it was a huge success! Our residents had a great time playing bingo while learning helpful tips, exercises, and education to stay safe and steady.👟

We mixed up the classic game with valuable information to keep our community strong, balanced, and on their feet. And, of course , there were prizes and plenty of laughs! 🎁

Thanks to everyone who participated and made it a fun and educational event. We're glad we could share fall prevention wisdom and help our community stay safe and healthy! 🙏

Our residents had a blast on their fantasy day at the beach! 🌴 They tossed beach balls, searched for treasures in the sand, and soaked up the sun. What a wonderful way to spend the day! 🌞
