WE NEED YOUR HELP FINDING FRUITLAND MURDER WITNESSES
Nov. 21, 2025

As part of our ongoing investigation into the murder of Cheyenne Kastens outside of Dollar General in Fruitland Nov. 14, we are looking for two potential witnesses to the crime.

Based on information our detectives have gathered, two juveniles were in the parking lot of the Dollar General about the time of the attack. One is a white male, possibly a pre-teen between the ages of 10-12 and another is believed to be a white male between the ages of 14-16. These ages are approximate based on height and build and should not be treated as exact. One juvenile looks older than the other.

We believe that may have information relevant to this case. We want to be very clear, they are not in any trouble. We believe both live close to the Dollar General that they may have walked there. At this time we do not have a clothing description.

Parents/grandparents/guardians of these two individuals, please contact. the sheriff's office immediately at 386-329-0800 and ask to speak to Sgt. Ryan Owens.

Our residents delivered the items and money we collected during our food drive to Epic Cure, Palatka today. They gave us a tour and we all got see what they do for our community. Super thankful for all the volunteers that give their time to help provide food for residents of Putnam County. To show our appreciation we provided lunch for them today.
