Palestine Regional Medical Center Be Well. Live Well. That's Why We're Here

Palestine Regional Medical Center (PRMC) provides 150 beds across two facilities, the PRMC hospital and PRMC's West Campus, which includes a behavioral health unit. For over 60 years, the citizens of Anderson County, TX, and surrounding counties have depended on the PRMC healthcare facilities in Palestine. The medical center offers a full range of comprehensive care, including the latest in diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative services, both on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Approximately 550 employees and volunteers work closely with the medical staff, which includes over 50 physicians, to provide a local option for quality healthcare.

Every so often, we want to introduce you to a member of the PRMC team who is truly exceptional... Meet Toni Wardell, one of our incredible night nurses in the Labor and Delivery department. Toni goes above and beyond for our tiniest patients - hand-knitting caps and outfits for every baby delivered here. For some families, these hats and outfits are the very first belongings their newborns have. Her kindness and dedication truly embody the heart of nursing. Thank you, Toni, for your compassion and for being such an exceptional nurse!

Emergencies happen... And when they do, you want care as soon as possible and as close to home as possible – not to be transported to a facility an hour away. Residents of Anderson County have entrusted their emergency care to Palestine Regional Medical Center for decades. More than 30,000 patients see us each year for expert, compassionate care when they need it most. That’s why we’re here.

This November 12–18, we proudly recognize National Nurse Practitioner Week – a time to honor the incredible Nurse Practitioners (NPs) at Palestine Regional and across the country who bring skill, compassion, and accessibility to healthcare every single day. NPs are the heartbeat of patient-centered care – listening, diagnosing, treating, and advocating with unmatched dedication. While this week shines a spotlight on their contributions, their impact is felt all year long in hospitals, clinics, and communities nationwide.

To all our NPs: thank you for making healthcare more human, more reachable, and more exceptional.

Caring.
That's why I'm here.

Caring for patients starts with caring people, like our team at Palestine Regional Medical Center. We go above and beyond, every single day, to make sure our patients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their healing. Because to us, healthcare is not a job, it’s a mission. And that’s why we’re here.
