Each day offers a fresh start

An unraveling

A chance to salute the sun
Once more

The gift of a new dawn
The dreams that stirred the night before

Wash away
As the sunlight arrives to splash warm on our skin
nourish our body
dance on our eyelids

This awakening
Often colorful and bright
Sometimes covered and quiet
is a gift
