This week I went on a day trip to relax and recharge at Kings Spa, a Korean Spa & Sauna in NJ 🧖‍♀️

When you enter, you’re given a comfortable uniform to change into and you can stay for as long as you’d like. Time just flies by and you can easily spend all day here 😊 I took my time exploring the different sauna rooms and lounge spaces. Each sauna has a different heat intensity and there’s an ice room if you’re looking to cool off. My favorite saunas that I revisited throughout the day were the amethyst, gold pyramid and yellow mud rooms. There are water stations on each floor to keep you hydrated as you switch between rooms and there’s also board games that are available to play if you want to take a break from the heat 🥵

As a snack, I had hard boiled eggs 🥚 with a sweet Korean rice drink called shikhye (a must-have). This is a popular combo at Korean saunas and these eggs were actually cooked in their Bulhanjeungmak sauna room. This sauna is SUPER hot 🔥 and you have to cover your body with two mats before entering. Of course I had to have patbingsu 🍧 after a good sweat and it was so refreshing.

I decided to get a massage 💆🏻‍♀️ as an add-on service (you can make reservations at the front desk). It was effective in relieving my shoulder pain and overall my body just felt a lot better! I feel completely well-rested and rejuvenated 😌 Thanks Kings Spa and can’t wait to come back 🤩

FYI, they will be open for the holidays 🎉 If you’re looking to stay warm during this very cold 🥶 weekend, I highly recommend you go check it out 🙌🏼

Practicing what I preach and decided to slow down and take an evening to rest and detox at . ✨

King sauna brings back so many fond memories for me! I would often come here with my family growing up whenever we needed a break from our busy schedules. It can get so easy to get caught up in the busyness of life. As a therapist, I feel that many of us are conditioned to give to everyone but ourselves. I am continuously learning that rest IS productive.

First time visiting a Korean spa & sauna!! is the largest Korean spa on the East Coast and it was a pretty relaxing and unique experience! They have 10 different sauna rooms, hot tubs and a food court 😀 The uniforms they give are kinda cute but caution some of the sauna rooms were quite hot!🫠

You can find discounted tickets on Groupon and there’s a shuttle that takes you from Koreatown Manhattan to the spa ☺️

Before exploring the saunas, we had a hearty meal of the Vegetable Dumplings, Vegetable Bibimbap, Beef Soondubu, and Sauna Eggs that are baked in their bulhanjeungmak which gets up to 200 degrees celsius.

and I went to as part of my birthday “self-care” week. It was so relaxing. I wish I had more than a minute to share all the awesome things to do!

Don’t be deterred by the NJ address. We took the express 166 Bus from Port Authority and we’re there in less than 30 minutes.
