Teletherapy is commonly referred to as online therapy. This simply refers to the use of the modern telecommunication tools to enhance online learning. It is the professional delivery of speech, mental and occupational therapy services via a web-based platform. In the recent years, the demand for online therapy has been on the rise, with over 6 million children in need of online special education therapy services. In a nutshell, it is a structured literacy support system that enhances learning from a distance by linking professional therapists to schools, clients, parents and children. Instead of going through the pain of looking for an onsite therapist, students can interact with their therapists via live video conferencing. This is why National TeleTherapy Resources (NTR) fills the gap that exists in the schools by providing exclusive and professional online speech and occupational therapy services.
