Modifications in the classroom can help make learning less frustrating and overwhelming for both you and the child.

No matter if you are a teacher or a parent who has a child in need of some adjustments to support their individual learning needs, we have some suggestions.

Some of these may seem simple, but can make all the difference in the child’s successes throughout the year.

Children with ADHD or ADHD-like symptoms, may need adjustments when it comes to:

🤷Focusing on tasks and instructions given in the classroom
​​🤷Limiting distractions in the classroom
🤷Providing breaks or ways to move to calm the body
🤷Additional attention or check-ins from teachers

There are many modifications that can be made for the child based on their individual needs. Teachers, parents and therapists can work together to find out the best way the child can learn.

Requirements

Florida-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist

Experience with pediatric speech and language services preferred

CMS credentialing is a plus, but we can help you get credentialed
