February is Black History Month! It’s a time to honor the contributions of African Americans—from civil rights heroes to innovators in science, business and culture. First officially recognized in 1976, this annual observance grew out of Dr. Carter G. Woodson’s Negro History Week. This year’s theme, “A Century of Black History Commemorations,” marks 100 years since the observance began and invites us to reflect on how these commemorations have shaped our modern world. Join us in honoring the past and building a more inclusive future.
