Loving someone with anxiety can feel helpless sometimes.

You want to fix it. You say “just don’t worry” or “it’ll be fine” and it backfires.

Here’s the truth: Anxiety isn’t logical. You can’t reason with it or fix it with the right words.
But you CAN support them through it.

The best support isn’t fixing or minimizing. It’s:
✨ Staying present without solving
✨ Validating without feeding the anxiety
✨ Learning what helps THEM specifically
✨ Staying calm when they can’t (co-regulation is real)

Exhausted from supporting them? That’s valid. It’s hard loving someone in pain you can’t take away.
But they don’t need you to fix them. They need you to be present while they learn to regulate.

If their anxiety is severe, encourage therapy. That’s not giving up… it’s giving them tools you can’t provide.

I’m calling you out:

Put your phone away for 24 hours.

Starting tonight at 6pm through tomorrow night.

No social media. No posting. No performing for an audience.

Here’s what I know will happen:
You’ll feel uncomfortable at first. Your hand will reach for your phone out of habit.

You’ll want to document something “for the memories.”

You’ll wonder what everyone else is doing.

And then something will shift.

You’ll actually have conversations instead of half-listening while scrolling.
You’ll notice things you would have missed.
You’ll be bored - and that’s okay.

Boredom is where creativity lives.

Your nervous system will calm down because it’s not processing hundreds of images and comparisons per hour.

You’ll remember that you can exist without an audience.

This isn’t about being anti-technology. It’s about being pro-presence.

Can you handle 24 hours of your actual life without the buffer of a screen?

Glimmers are those small moments of peace, safety, or joy that help regulate your nervous system. ✨

A warm cup of coffee. Your favorite song. A genuine laugh with someone you love. ☕️

This season, try catching glimmers as they happen. Notice them. Name them. Let them anchor you when the chaos feels overwhelming.

You don’t have to ignore the hard stuff, but you also don’t have to let it be the only story.

One of the biggest sources of holiday stress? Saying yes when you mean no. 🫠❄️

You say yes because you don’t want to disappoint anyone.
Yes because you feel guilty.
Yes because you don’t know how to say no without a 10-minute explanation.

And then you’re overwhelmed, resentful, and exhausted.

Reminder that “No” is a complete sentence!

You don’t owe anyone an explanation. You don’t have to justify your capacity. You’re allowed to protect your time, energy, and nervous system - especially during the most overstimulating time of year.

Save it. Use it. Practice saying no without the guilt spiral.

Boundaries aren’t mean. They’re how you survive December without completely falling apart.
