This Fourth of July weekend was packed with backyard football, pickleball, water balloon battles, and a trip to Drive Shack to hit some golf balls and soak in the summer vibes — no substances needed, just real moments and good energy.

Because healing doesn’t mean missing out — it means showing up, having fun, and creating new traditions that last. 💥

PTSD Awareness Day 💙
At Family First, we understand that trauma isn’t just about what happened—it’s about how it continues to live in the body, mind, and relationships long after the fact.

That’s why we use approaches like NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model), which focus on restoring the mind-body connection. By helping teens recognize how trauma shows up in both their nervous system and emotional patterns, we support healing from the inside out.

PTSD can look like anger, anxiety, shutdown, or withdrawal. Our goal is to help each teen feel safe enough to explore their inner world, reconnect with themselves, and begin to heal.

Healing isn’t linear, but it is possible. And we can walk that path together. 💙

We’re so proud of our Chief Clinical Officer, .giresi, for representing Family First at the AYAC Conference in Malibu last week! 💙

His powerful presentation, “The Inner World of the Traumatized Adolescent,” brought attention to the complexities of teen trauma and addiction—and reminded us why clinically driven, heart-led care matters so much.

We’re honored to have been there to support and grateful to for creating space for these important conversations to unfold.
