I am a shoulder surgeon. Minimally invasive techniques and non-surgical treatment are frequently utilized to restore function and relieve pain for my patients. I treat each patient as an individual, so two people with the same problem may have different goals and the treatment should reflect those goals. My practice philosophy is that my role is to inform and educate my patients about their problem so that they can make the right decision for themselves to treat their shoulder problem.

It’s amazing that this journey to narcotic-free shoulder surgery started almost a decade ago for me. Now it’s almost taken for granted that the vast majority of my patients do not use narcotics postop. We have come a long way!
