Caitlin first began to study Pilates as a dance student at Sara Lawrence college. She has been teaching since college and recieved certifications in Boulder, Colorado, after completing be B.A.’s in dance/performance, Italian, French and Spanish, from the University of Arizona. Caitlin has worked with numerous athletes from the NHL, NBL, NTL, PGA tour, US Ski Team, as well as dancers and equestrians. Caitlin was there Pilates director for the Reebok/Sports Club LA in New York City. Experienced with ms and other neurological conditions, Caitlin collaborated with Bill Fabrocini, orthopedic physical therapist, and renowned sports performance training coach in Aspen Colorado. Although Caitlin works for professional athletes and dancers, anyone can benefit from her ability to pinpoint the Celeste imbalances that once resolved can reshape your body. Extensive studies in dance, kinesiology, biomechanics and Yoga contribute to Caitlin’s strong teaching skills. In-depth knowledge of anatomy, hands on cuing/stretching, and Feldenkrais inspired techniques are a few of the healing skills she acquired from the Pilates Center curriculum from Boulder. Caitlin is committed to providing fun, interesting, and rewarding workouts. She is a native of the San Juan Islands in the Pacific Northwest. She offers private or group sessions in home or at local studios. Caitlin speaks Italian, Spanish, and French. She lives in South Florida with her son. Pilates is a system of exercise that specifically trains the abdominals inward, supporting the spine and giving the waist a long, lean appearance. Also working the power house (the inner thighs, hamstrings and gluteus muscles) Pilates lengthens as it strengthens.
