Our Story

As a highly skilled podiatrist with extensive experience in minimally invasive podiatric surgery, Aldo Gonzalez, DPM, is a leader in modern foot and ankle care. Dr. Gonzalez is currently accepting new patients at Ankle and Foot Center of Florida in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. A native of Miami, Dr. Gonzalez attended The Benjamin School, a prestigious private school in Palm Beach, Florida. During high school, he was a three-sport athlete who earned two state titles in track, multiple school records, and a retired track jersey. Because of his scholastic excellence, Dr. Gonzalez was accepted into Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He majored in human biology and minored in exercise science and nutrition. Throughout college, Dr. Gonzalez continued his running career and specialized in mid-distance events and even served as team captain for the Big Red track team during his senior year. Since he endured countless sports injuries throughout his high school and collegiate sporting career, Dr. Gonzalez gained a passion for healing, rehabilitation, and pain-relieving therapies. Dr. Gonzalez went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the School of Podiatric Medicine at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. After graduation, Dr. Gonzalez went on to complete a comprehensive internship and three-year podiatric surgery residency at John Peter Smith Hospital, which is a level 1 trauma center in Fort Worth, Texas. During his training, Dr. Gonzalez received extensive experience dealing with foot and ankle trauma, reconstructive surgery, diabetic foot care, and pediatric foot care, to name a few. To ensure he’s always up to date with the latest advancements in surgery and podiatric treatments, Dr. Gonzalez continues his education. He maintains memberships with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. Dr. Gonzalez ultimately returned to South Florida to open up his state-of-the-art private practice, Ankle and Foot Center of Florida. While Dr. Gonzalez can help patients with all types of ailments that affect the lower limbs, he has special interests in athletic injuries, ankle fusion and replacement, arthroscopy, trauma, reconstruction, advanced wound care, and limb salvage. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Gonzalez enjoys spending time with his wife, Holiann, and their daughter, Sienna. They reside in Jupiter, Florida.
