👶 Crawling is more than a milestone — it’s a foundation.
But not all crawling is created equal.
💡 The goal? Cross-crawl — when a baby moves one arm and the opposite leg together in a rhythmic, coordinated pattern. This pattern is key for brain development, core stability, posture, coordination and future movement.
🚫 What crawling is not:
❌ Army crawl (pulling with arms only)
❌ Pirate crawl (one leg drags)
❌ Janky/uncoordinated crawling
❌ Scooting on the bottom
❌ Skipping crawling altogether
These compensations may signal nervous system imbalance or core instability — and that’s where we can help.
🧠✨ At our office, we combine gentle chiropractic care with Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) — a rehab approach based on how babies naturally move through developmental stages (like rolling, crawling, sitting, walking).
💡DNS uses the brain’s original blueprint for movement to:
✔️ Engage ideal motor patterns
✔️ Improve core and joint stability
✔️ Support nervous system development from the ground up
🧍♂️💫 Every baby develops at their own pace — our goal is to support the strength, balance, and coordination they’re designed for, in the optimal order, to set the stage for their best growth.
