Summer Salad Sunday 🌽🍑🧀🍅

The key to this salad is everything is local and in-season. When everything is fresh, you barely need a recipe.

Sweet summer corn, heirloom tomatoes, juicy peaches and nectarines.
Creamy burrata
Scatter fresh basil
Flaky sea salt & freshly cracked black pepper
A drizzle of olive oil

Let everything sit at room temp for 10 minutes so the flavors can mingle.

Visit your bestie at work day 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Still trying to wrap my head around this surreal experience. Stepping into the Oval Office, standing feet away from the original Declaration of Independence, walking the same halls where history was made.
It was humbling, emotional, and something I’ll never forget!!! What moved me most wasn’t just the history or the new stunning gold decor, but the people who have dedicated their lives to serving this country. Through every high and low, quietly doing the work of democracy. (Even across multiple administrations) And no one embodies that more than . I am endlessly proud of this girl for standing by the President’s side for eight years with strength, elegance, and looking 🔥🔥🔥 while doing it all. This visit reminded me just how incredible this country truly is and how many people work every day to keep it that way. 🇺🇸🇺🇸

There’s no good photo to share with this news, so I thought the lunar eclipse that happened a few days after I found out would do. Looking at the moon is a big thing in our family 🌕

I had a miscarriage last month.. we weren’t really sure if it was the right time for us, so I guess it wasn’t… I fully believe God has a plan for us when the time is right ❤️

Once I came to terms with what happened, one of the first things I did was search through Instagram for people with similar stories so I wanted to share for anyone that is going through it and feeling alone… it happens and is unfortunately MUCH more common than we realize. It is a gut wrenching experience to say the least and the anxiety that comes with it is overwhelming beyond belief …

I feel so grateful to have Ricky and can’t wait for him to be a big brother one day. Until then the big brother merch will be tucked away and I’ll be enjoying this stage of life to the fullest… once my hormones level out a little more 😂

I was early in the first trimester. This post could get pretty lengthy sharing the details so if anyone wants to chat or know more, feel free to reach out🩷🫶it’s helped so much connecting with others that have been through it.

According to Google… spiritual interpretations of lunar eclipses often see them as powerful times for transformation, renewal, and introspection, inviting reflection and letting go of the old to embrace new beginnings. So cheers to that!
