🏃🏻‍♀️Physical well-being, cognition, cardiovascular heath, joint mobility, prevention of disease, weight control and helping improve insulin sensitivity are what make daily movement so important.🏋🏻‍♀️

💪 Physical activity burns calories aiding in weight management.

🍭 Moving your body helps improve insulin sensitivity and your body’s ability to use it effectively. If you’re looking to improve your metabolic health, which we should ALL be doing, exercise plays a crucial role by enhancing the uptake of glucose by our muscles.

🧠 Exercise can significantly lower feelings of depression, anxiety and overall stress. Physical exercise has been directly connected to a stronger gut microbiome which just so happens to be where the majority of serotonin is produced…hence why we call our gut “our second brain” and so often talk about the gut-brain connection. Exercise can help us retain memory and has been shown to improve cognitive function. If you already exercise more days of the week than not, then you already know that feeling of focus and energy.

🫀Physical activity has also been proven to improve our cardiovascular health by improving our heart function and circulation.

🦴 Daily movement, especially load-bearing exercises, are what strengthen our joints. Stronger joints means more range of motion and better flexibility which can help reduce the risk of injuries. Load-bearing exercises also leads to better bone density. This is especially important during mid-life when there’s a shift in our body’s ability to produce s*x hormones. This hormonal decline is when we begin to see an acceleration in bone and muscle loss at a higher rate.

Do you find yourself avoiding social situations because of digestive issues? I’m sharing some ways to help avoid that bloating feeling and how to eliminate gas and bloat after they’ve already occurred.

🔹While occasional gas and bloating can creep up because of poor food combining or not getting enough movement in your day, daily occurrences of flatulence and stomach distention/bloating are not normal. In fact, it’s your body’s way of communicating to you that something deeper is going on.

🔹I’m here to tell you that it’s fixable and that living in daily discomfort or pain is not necessary, regardless of what you’ve been told by medical professionals.

🔹From poor digestion to imbalanced hormones and MAJOR toxic overload, I’ve been through it and was able to get myself out through the other side of it…but only because I wanted it badly enough.“Conventional” practices that we’ve been led to believe are the only way, just weren’t working for me and I realized that I needed to be my own health advocate and discover better ways of actually healing by getting to the root cause.

🔹Our bodies were designed to feel amazing, and most people don’t know what it’s truly like to feel good, let alone amazing. So ask yourself…how badly do you want to feel good??

A warm bowl of oatmeal packed with fruit, protein, healthy fats and fiber doesn’t just feel good on chilly mornings, but is also nutrient dense and packed with the good stuff that we need for healthy glowing skin and is great for our digestive health. 🥣 🍌🫐🍎

🥣 Oatmeal (whole oats)- are packed with vitamins and minerals, plus antioxidants and can help with the increase of nitric oxide, which leads to widened blood vessels and better blood flow. The better blood circulation is the more glowy our skin is!

🌰Walnuts- are high in Omega-3 and antioxidants, which help support skin health and healthy aging in general.

🍌Bananas- high in antioxidants and potassium, bananas can also help regulate blood sugar levels, all of which are great for gut and skin health.

🍎Apples- a nutrient dense fruit loaded with pectin which is a type of fiber that acts as a prebiotic and helps support the healthy function of our gut. 🫐 Don’t get me wrong, blueberries in general are AMAZING! Both cultivated and wild grown contain TREMENDOUS HEALTH BENEFITS but I’m here to give a little breakdown of some of the differences you can expect from these little guys and why you may decide to pick one over the other.🫐

While both blueberries contain fiber, antioxidants, and flavonoids, wild blueberries contain a richer source. Wild blueberries, smaller to their cultivated counterpart, pack a serious punch when it comes to heart health, brain-boosting and anti-cancer properties. Plus, their thicker skin contains 3x more fiber, which aids in digestion and weight loss.

Not fancy but this was a spur of the moment recipe I whipped up for a quick, crunchy, healthy and verrrry satisfying lunch!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

1 can of tuna
4 Thin Stackers Brown Rice cakes
2 Everything crisps
1/2 ripened avocado
2 tbsps avocado mayonnaise
Microgreens
1/2 a lemon
S&P to taste

WHAT TO DO:

Drain tuna and flake apart in a bowl with a fork. Add S&P while breaking apart tuna. Add in avocado, mayonnaise, and lemon juice and stir together. Top rice cakes with tuna mixture. Crumble Ella Flats on top of mixture and top off with microgreens. Enjoy!

-4 oz cold brew coffee concentrate (I used )
-6 oz walnut milk (I used )
-8 oz spring water
-1 tbsp walnut butter (I used )
-2 dates pitted
-1 frozen banana
-1/2 cup frozen spinach
-2 scoops chocolate protein powder (I use DNS)
-1 scoop collagen (I use Advanced Collagen Support)
