Dr. Stern earned her PhD in 1974 from Boston College, and has since been in clinical practice. Dr. Stern is a skilled diagnostician and has been on the teaching and clinical staffs of both Harvard and Tufts Medical Schools. Dr. Stern has been in private practice since 1974 with offices in Boston, and subsequently in South Florida since 1992. Dr. Stern has worked with children, adolescents, adults and families to enhance their development as well as to enrich their relationships. She specializes in intergenerational conflicts; family and elder mediation; dealing with trauma; the effects of divorce and remarriage on children; supporting caregivers of dementia and chronically ill patients; and helping patients find happiness with each chapter of of life.
