When something doesn’t feel right, being heard can make all the difference.

When a patient’s daughter spoke up with a concern, Registered Nurse Nhidel Kathe Mata stepped in to help, even though she wasn’t originally caring for the patient.

She quickly recognized a change and helped the care team respond right away, while keeping the family informed and supported every step of the way. Because of her attentiveness and willingness to step in, a moment of uncertainty became one of reassurance and timely care.

That’s why partnerships across Flagler County matter. Recently, our AdventHealth team met with the City of Bunnell to talk about how we can continue supporting the health and well-being of our community — side by side.

From emergencies to hospital stays, we’re here for the moments that matter most. Last year, that meant caring for more than 68,000 emergency visits and nearly 14,000 hospital stays, supporting our neighbors when they needed it most.

Healing doesn’t stop when you leave the hospital.

After a serious health crisis, Phillip was facing more than recovery. He needed transportation, follow-up care, and a way to manage it all.

Through AdventHealth’s Community Care program, he found support every step of the way. From organizing appointments to connecting him with resources, his care team helped him rebuild his health and his independence.

Today, Phillip is back at work, cancer-free, and moving forward with confidence.
