We wanted to share a little update on our sweet Gwenevyre.

Today was Gwenevyre’s two-week post-op follow-up. We are happy to say our sweet baby is healing well. Her spirits are lifted, and she is making beautiful strides in her recovery every single day. We are taking everything one day at a time, but each day she is getting stronger.

For those who have been asking for updates, Gwenevyre’s official diagnosis is chronic communicating hydrocephalus. In simple terms, this means that the fluid that normally surrounds and protects the brain builds up because the body is not absorbing it the way it should. The spaces that carry the fluid in the brain still connect with each other, but the balance of fluid moving in and out is not working properly, which can create incredible pressure.

To help manage this, a VP shunt (ventriculoperitoneal shunt) was implanted. This is a small medical device that continuously drains excess fluid from the brain to another part of the body where it can be safely absorbed. This shunt will help regulate the fluid long term.

Another concern we are continuing to monitor is the size of Gwenevyre’s head. Because of the hydrocephalus, the fluid buildup and pressure caused her head to grow larger than normal for her age.

Our hope and prayer now is that with the shunt in place, the fluid will stay properly regulated and her head growth will slow or stop as her body adjusts. If her head were to continue growing, it could potentially put strain on her neck, spine, and other parts of her body over time.

Gwenevyre has a follow-up MRI scheduled in two weeks, where we will check on her progress and make sure everything is functioning as it should.

We are slowly settling into a new rhythm and continuing to take this journey one day at a time.

We are officially back to our normal hours this week at Vedic Moons 🌙

After the whirlwind of the past couple of weeks, we are settling back into our rhythm and are grateful to be returning to our regular schedule.

Our doors will be open from 11:11 AM to 5:55 PM all week.

We also have several beautiful new arrivals in the shop including new tarot and oracle books, malas, bracelets, sacred tools, and other magical finds that just came in.

If you’ve been meaning to stop by, this is the perfect week to come browse, connect, and see what new treasures have arrived.

Hello Everyone,

Our niece Gwenevyre is going to have a long recovery ahead of her and we are asking the community for support. While my sister Erica and her husband Ryan are taking care of their daughter, I have stepped in to help manage some of their social media till they are able to. If you are unable to help financially, kind words, positive energy and prayers are appreciated. I know Erica, Ryan and Gwen have a tremendous amount of love for their community and will be looking forward to providing continued spiritual wellness to you all soon!

We are asking for your prayers, love, and healing energy for our beautiful daughter, Gwenevyre. This Saturday she had a fall and hit her head, which led us to take her to the hospital for a CT scan. While it was incredibly scary, it also brought answers we never knew we needed.

Through the scan, it was discovered that Gwenevyre has chronic hydrocephalus, meaning there is a significant amount of fluid built up in her brain. Because of this, she will be undergoing emergency brain surgery.

Our hearts are heavy, but we are grateful this was found and that she is now getting the care she needs.

During this time, our shop hours may vary until further notice. We are beyond thankful to have family and friends stepping in to help support us and the business, and we kindly ask for patience and grace with them as this is a difficult time for all of us.

Thank you for always being such a loving and supportive community. Your prayers, positive thoughts, and healing energy mean more to us than words can express.
