Every now and then, a question lands with enough weight to pause our routine thinking. Recently, we came across one of those questions from Tony Robbins, in a video about grace and gratitude:
“Am I being a blessing?”
It landed in that uncomfortable, beautiful place where reflection meets accountability.
It reminded me of something we talk about constantly at the Intuitive Living Institute:
Everything is energy.
Everything we think, feel, say, and do sends ripples into the field. We can brighten that field or unintentionally add to its heaviness.
And lately, the collective field has felt heavy — more judgment, more complaint, more frustration. As empaths and sensitives, that atmosphere can feel overwhelming. We read rooms, absorb emotions, and sense the temperature of the collective before noticing our own.
One of Chris’s core teachings also comes to mind:
Work on yourself first.
Not in a selfish way — in a responsible way.
If we don’t tend to what’s unresolved within us — our triggers, our stories, our stress, our pain — we unintentionally put that energy into the field, and into our relationships. We “bless” others with our unprocessed emotions.
Complaining can bond people — it’s a familiar connector — but it’s a low-vibration one.
Connection can happen through higher frequencies as well.
Grace connects. Gratitude connects. Presence connects. Love connects. Curiosity connects.
The question “Am I being a blessing?” asks us to consider:
✨ What energy am I contributing?
✨ Am I lifting the field or adding weight to it?
✨ Do I see the blessing I am? (when you see that you are the blessing, that is exactly what you will be.)
Being a blessing doesn’t mean being perfect. It means becoming aware of our impact — energetically, emotionally, and relationally — and choosing to contribute from a higher state of being.
This is the work that transforms individuals and communities — and this is the work we are committed to exploring together at the Institute.
