🚨 Flagler County — Let’s Talk Outdoor AEDs at Our Sports Parks 🚨

📍 This photo was taken at an outdoor sports area in St. Johns County on Davis Park Road, where outdoor AEDs are available at public parks.

Thousands of kids, athletes, coaches, and families use Flagler County sports fields every day. Having quick access to an outdoor AED can make a life-saving difference during a cardiac emergency.

❤️ Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone.
⏱️ Survival decreases by about 7–10% for every minute without an AED.

As a community, we’ve made great strides in safety, and this feels like a meaningful next step worth exploring together. Raising awareness is how positive change begins.

📣 I’m sharing this to start a constructive conversation about making our parks even safer for everyone who uses them.

In 2025 alone, our AED partners helped save 26 lives from sudden cardiac arrest, that we know of. Each save represents a moment when preparation, training, and ACCESS to an AED made all the difference.

This wall is more than numbers.

High school football players in Oregon saved their new offensive coordinator's life when he collapsed from a massive heart attack during his first day of practice.

Grateful that our schools are locally instructing and certifying our middle school students. ❤️

A 14-year-old boy from Wilson County saved his brother's life - thanks to a lesson he learned in Middle School. Now, both brothers hope to inspire others to pick up some life-saving knowledge of their own.

We are so proud of Rachel Ord and the recognition she received for the homeschool group she has built! It was an honor to be part of one of the many trainings and activities she organizes for her group. Congratulations on your well-deserved Standing O Award!

Ord founded the Flagler Homeschool Fishing group where the kids go fishing, do crafts and learn about conservation.

CPR, First Aid, and Babysitting Certification

📅 Monday, January 5 ⏰ 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

This one-day program includes CPR, First Aid, and Babysitting Certification through the American Heart Association and Safe Sitter®.

Ages 11 and up (mature 10-year-olds may be accepted). This is a drop-off program only—parents may not stay. Snacks will be provided, but please pack a lunch for your child.
