✨ Meet Mrs. Ambbar! ✨

As we gear up for an exciting new semester after the holidays, we’re kicking off our teacher spotlights with someone incredibly special—Mrs. Ambbar, one of our beloved elementary teachers here at The Homeschool Haven.

Mrs. Ambbar has been with us since almost the very beginning, and to know her is to absolutely adore her. She brings such a warm, nurturing energy into her classroom and forms genuine, lasting connections with every single student she teaches.

Born and raised in Costa Rica, Mrs. Ambbar has traveled the world and brings a rich global perspective to her teaching. She holds a degree in International World Studies and minored in both Spanish and Portuguese International Business Relations. She speaks multiple languages, loves learning new ones, and brings that passion—along with her wide range of experiences and knowledge—into every moment she spends with her students.

Her journey into teaching grew even stronger when she and her husband welcomed their daughter, Gabriella almost 8 years ago—who is also one of our very own Haven homeschoolers. ❤️

Mrs. Ambbar is fun, engaging, knowledgeable, and deeply loving. She has a beautiful gift for recognizing each child’s strengths and helping them build the confidence to reach their dreams. Our program is truly better because of her.

🎨✨ Our creative art crew turned torn and cut paper into masterpieces with their own one-of-a-kind art mosaics!

They learned how layering shapes and colors can create incredible texture and depth — proving that sometimes, breaking things apart leads to the coolest creations!

Who knew a little paper tearing could unlock so much imagination?

📝✨ Our middle schoolers took a creative journey in their Life Skills/Home Ec class by writing haikus — a traditional Japanese poetry form that beautifully blends art, culture, and creative expression. 🌸🎨

This project helped them explore how poetry connects us to different cultures while sharpening their creative writing skills and encouraging personal expression. Writing within the 5-7-5 syllable structure challenged them to think carefully about word choice and meaning — a perfect mix of discipline and creativity!

From Life Skills & Home Ec to Art & Culture, these haikus show how learning can flow across subjects and inspire deeper understanding of the world — one poetic line at a time.

✨ Our little engineers are taking city building to new heights with Skyline Transporters!

Not only did they build awesome gondolas and transport systems, but they also learned all about balance, weight distribution, and simple machines — proving once again that STEM is the coolest way to play! 💡🔧

Who knew science could be this much fun? Look at these future architects in action!

We officially opened registration to the public this morning and — WOW — you all showed up! 💌 We've had dozens of messages and emails rolling in with great questions about our program.

We’re so excited to open enrollment for our upcoming Spring Semester at The Homeschool Haven !

Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t wait to save your child’s place.

Tuesdays

Please note: a tour must be completed before enrollment can be processed, and the $200 annual family registration fee is due upon acceptance.

✨ What an incredible semester it’s been so far at The Homeschool Haven! 🌿

Our days have been filled with laughter, learning, and so many hands-on adventures. From creative projects to exciting experiments, our learners have been busy exploring, discovering, and shining bright!

We’re so proud of this amazing community of students and the joy they bring to every class. It’s such a gift to see our kiddos inspired, curious, and so happy to be here each week.
