We had a Mad Hatter Tea Party in honor of Lewis Carroll, author of Alice in Wonderland, and it was a wonderful afternoon! Guests enjoyed tea, petit fours, macaroons, tea sandwiches, and even made their own whimsical hats.
“If you knew Time as well as I do,” said the Hatter, “you wouldn’t talk about wasting it.”
For our seniors, this quote is a beautiful reminder to savor each moment, enjoy time with friends, and create joyful memories—because time spent together is never wasted.

The smell of freshly popped popcorn , the sweet swirl of cotton candy, the sound of lively music and laughter in the air… it felt like stepping right back into our favorite childhood memories. From carnival games and prizes to face painting, tattoos, and nonstop smiles, every sight, taste, and sound reminded us just how magical simple fun can be.
It wasn’t just a carnival — it was a whole lot of joy, a little nostalgia, tons of laughter and memories that we’ll be smiling about for a long time. A big shout out to Doreen with For Any Event! She was amazing with our residents and staff!! Face painting was never so much fun!

An afternoon like this reminds us how important it is to slow down and simply be.
Our residents enjoyed a time of pampering with refreshing face masks, soothing aromatherapy, soft lighting and music, and warm towels—creating a peaceful space to relax, feel cared for, and recharge. Because everyone deserves to feel nurtured, valued, and at ease.

🐴 A Beautiful Day at Whispering Meadows Ranch 🐐
Our residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to the new location of Whispering Meadows Ranch! They had the chance to meet the horses, and a few lucky residents even got to brush them.
One of our newest residents, Lynn, had a very special visit—she previously volunteered at Whispering Meadows and spent decades as a horse rancher on her own farm, so running into old friends made the day even more meaningful.
We also met and fed some friendly goats, then wrapped up the day by enjoying lunch together.
A heartfelt thank you to Mr. and Mrs. D and all the amazing volunteers for their warm hospitality and for making this such a memorable experience for everyone! 🌿✨

This week, our residents enjoyed a special visit from Eevee Nox, a burlesque dancer, who shared the rich history of the art form, led a movement lesson, and treated everyone to a lively performance.
Experiences like this go beyond entertainment—they keep our seniors active, engaged, and connected. Creative movement supports physical health, boosts confidence, and brings joy, all of which play an important role in overall wellness.

At Artis, our Director of Community Integration and Director of Life Enrichment work hand in hand to help residents continue living the lives they love. 💙 By partnering with families, they take the time to learn each resident’s passions and discover meaningful ways to create opportunities to truly thrive.
One beautiful example is Arvid. An avid traveler and photographer, Arvid transforms photos from his journeys into short films that allow him to relive and share his adventures. Travel and creativity are close to his heart—and so is his faith. He shares the films he has made every Wednesday with "Arvid's Adventures" which can be found on our enrichment calendar. Each Sunday, Arvid leads a sermon for fellow residents who share his beliefs, creating connection, purpose, and community.
These are just some of the many ways we inspire our residents every day by honoring who they have been, celebrating who they are today, and supporting what continues to bring them joy.

Celebrating February's Positive Partner of the Month- John P. (pictured with his supervisor Geo)!!!

John P. was born and raised in Lakeland, Florida, and brings a strong work ethic shaped by years of hands-on experience. His first job was at The Lakeland Ledger, where he loaded trucks and worked the press. He later spent nine years supporting the housekeeping department at Daytona Speedway, followed by a role as a stocking associate at the Palm Coast Walmart.

We are fortunate to have John as part of the Artis Palm Coast team for nearly five years. He is known for being detail-oriented, thorough in his work, and always ready to answer a call for help. John connects naturally with residents, engaging with them warmly and respectfully each day.

Outside of work, John is an eco-warrior- riding his e-bike around town rain or shine. He’s also an avid video gamer who enjoys the immersive experiences of the Zombie Apocalypse series.

John, congratulations on receiving the Positive Partner honor. This recognition is truly well deserved, and we are grateful for all that you bring to our community!
