Our residents share a home together—each with different personalities, backgrounds, likes, and dislikes—but in the end, it’s all about connection.
Every day, we create opportunities for those connections to grow. Whether we’re cooking, crafting, goofing off, or just chatting it up, there’s always something meaningful happening.
At Artis, every day is a great day when we’re making memories together.

We recently had the incredible opportunity to take our residents to Whispering Meadows Ranch, a 100% volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities and special needs through recreational, educational, and equine-assisted programs.
What an amazing experience it was for everyone. For some of our residents, this was the very first time they had ever seen a horse up close. Others arrived with years of horse experience and were thrilled to reconnect with these gentle, beautiful animals. No matter their background, every single person felt the warmth, patience, and passion of the Whispering Meadows team.
We watched confidence grow, smiles spread, and connections form—between people, animals, and nature. We even got golf car rides! Moments like these are powerful reminders of how meaningful community partnerships can be.
A huge thank-you to the volunteers at Whispering Meadows Ranch for the heart you put into everything you do. We are so grateful for the memories made and the joy shared.

Our Directors of Community Integration have a role focused entirely on ensuring residents are welcomed with intention, care plans are aligned holistically, families are communicated with proactively, and Artis associates are supported with robust dementia education from day one.

In other words, they’re the Directors of helping people belong.
