As Assisted Living Week comes to a close, we took a groovy trip down memory lane on Wednesday and Thursday, celebrating the spirit of the '60s and '70s!
From tie-dye making, flower headbands and live music to joyful celebrations and all-around silliness, we embraced the era of peace, love, and good vibes. It was a colorful and fun-filled way to wrap up a week dedicated to honoring our wonderful residents, our staff and the vibrant community we share.

Last Sunday, we celebrated Grandparent's Day with Jean Scerbo, our Director of Sales & Marketing, partnered with Lynn Tiani from Halifax Hospice to host a cake decorating class for our residents!
It was an afternoon filled with creativity, cake, and coffee—and of course, plenty of smiles. From sweet treats to meaningful connections, it was a truly special day for everyone!

Yesterday, we took a rockin’ trip back to the fabulous 1950s—and yes, Elvis himself made a surprise appearance! 🎸🎶
Our residents had an absolute blast dancing, smiling, and reminiscing about the good ol’ days. From poodle skirts to classic tunes, it was a day full of joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
A huge thank you to The King himself, Gentiva, and to our wonderful community for bringing the spirit of the ‘50s to the dance floor!

As part of our National Assisted Living Week celebration, we kicked off our Ageless Adventure with a trip back to the 1940s—a decade of resilience, unity, and timeless style.

Residents and staff embraced the spirit of the era with fun vintage outfits, learned about life during World War II, and honored the incredible contributions of women on the home front and abroad.

We also enjoyed a sweet taste of the past by baking classic oatmeal cookies—a popular wartime treat that brought back warm memories and even warmer smiles.

It was a meaningful and joyful start to our week-long journey through the decades! Stay tuned as we dance into the fabulous 1950s next!
