We had a vibrant celebration of Mexican Independence Day, a truly empowering experience that united our community! We began the day with a hands-on demonstration of homemade flour and corn tortillas and guacamole, equipping our residents with the skills and confidence to create their own delicious tortillas and guacamole. It was followed by an exciting loteria game that brought family members together, creating unforgettable moments with loved ones that left our residents beaming with joy. Finally, we capped off the celebration with a spectacular party featuring Oasis Sound, a talented duo that inspired us to dance to the rhythms of cumbias, mariachi, norteñas, and guapangos, fostering a deeper appreciation for the rich diversity of music and culture. Bella Villaggio's 4th annual back-to-school drive was highly successful. We collected school supplies for Abraham Lincoln Elementary. A few days ago, we visited the school to deliver the supplies. We would like to extend my gratitude to Principal Mr. Christensen for his warm welcome and for providing us with a tour of the school, and also thank the residents who donated to this great cause.

Yesterday's Patriot ceremony provided a valuable opportunity for our community to come together with first responders. The ceremony commenced with a poignant remembrance of the fallen heroes of 9/11, followed by moments of silence in tribute and homage. Our first responders shared personal anecdotes from their experiences, and the event concluded with a selection of patriotic and country songs. I would like to extend my gratitude to our first responders for participating in this meaningful event.
